PARTICIPATE!!
Applications are open to any arts projects involving young people (0yrs – 26yrs). These projects may involve young people as performers, creators and artists or as producers and event managers. IYAF is also happy to receive applications for adult work which is specifically targeted at young people.
IYAF is interested in a variety of art forms – from traditional cultural activity to new and emerging work and art forms. Originality in applications is encouraged!
Applications are by post only.
Deadlines for applications are the 5.00pm, 31st January 2010
We aim to inform groups or individuals if they have been successful by February 28th 2010.
Individuals or groups should be made aware that this is a festival environment; therefore there will be tight turnarounds and very limited rehearsal times in venues.
There is no entrance fee for groups or individuals to participate in IYAF; however groups will be expected to raise their own funds for accommodation, travel and food costs.
Groups will be expected to undertake their own marketing activities in addition to the general IYAF publicity. IYAF cannot guarantee audiences!
We Provide
- A space for a time agreed between us.
- General lighting rig and PA sound rig if applicable – precise details available on request nearer the time.
- Box office and front of house staff and services.
- Venue production staff.
- Public liability insurance for the building.
- General Festival publicity
You Provide
- A show / exhibition / performance etc
- A production crew
- Your own promotional activity/marketing and PR (further to what we provide).
- Your own insurance and public liability insurance
- Licensing of productions and / or of young people in productions is your responsibility; the festival will ensure you have these in place.
- Adequate chaperones during the festival period.
