“I had a huge amount of fun volunteering at the festival. I met a load of new people, built my skills for future jobs and got to know my town better – I would recommend anyone who has some free time to help our during or even in the run up to the festival.”

As part of the International Youth Arts Festival, the Three Half Pints are showcasing their very first touring show, which has made appearances across Kent, and will be transferring up to Edinburgh for the Free Fringe Festival during August (see http://www.laughinghorsecomedy.co.uk/edinburgh/show.asp?ShowID=1017 for details). The show is full of sketches in unusual settings – what are brothers Derek, Dick and Ernie doing breaking into a museum? And why is Derek not with them for their visit to ‘Auntie Brenda’? The stage becomes a place of welcome chaos for a lightning-paced hour, with all manner of unexpected scenarios presented for comic delight.
Bringing a welcome update to the fading art of slapstick, this show blends nostalgic humour with contemporary references, ensuring all generations will find much to entertain them within the show, which neatly straddles the already blurred distinction between theatre and comedy.
Press quotes from performances in their home town of Canterbury, Kent
“It was like Charlie Chaplin on crack…it was silly, it was juvenile and it was absolutely brilliant” The U-Review (March 2012)
“the Three Half Pints delighted their audience in that old fashioned, charming way.” InQuire (June 2012)
